How To Build an Online Profile For the Summit Of Global Youth Movements
Howcast.com is powering the online hub for the First Annual Summit of Global Youth Movements being held in New York City December 2008. This guide will show you how to build your online profile.

- Your organization's email address

Given the international press coverage we expect this conference to attract, your online profile presents an incredible opportunity to not only share what your wealth of experience with similar organizations around the world but also to raise the visibility of the great work you have done, so take some time to make it look perfect.
Step 1: Create a Howcast account for your organization
Visit http://www.howcast.com/sign_up to create an account. Note: You will need an email address.
Step 2: Email your Howcast account to Summit organizers
Once you’ve created an account, email your new Howcast username to rachel@howcast.com .
Step 3: Start building your profile
Visit https://www.howcast.com/my_information to start building your profile.
Howcast.com is primarily used by individuals, though we’re working on features for organizations just like yours. For the Summit, don’t worry about filling in fields like “birthdate,” “school,” “companies,” favorite directors," etc…. Just follow the next step…
Step 4: Add organization details to your profile
Only provide the following info:
<ol><li>Picture: Add your organization’s logo or image file.
<li>Hometown: List the city, region or country your organization focuses on.
<li>Occupation: Write a description for your organization here. 1-2 sentences should be fine.
<li>Websites: List your main website and Facebook profile</ol>
Step 5: Add video to your profile
Upload any videos your organization might already have, even if they’re not exactly instructional in nature. Choose whatever category you think is appropriate. We’ll make sure its included in the Summit’s online hub.
Step 6: Customize the look and feel of your profile
Optional: Visit https://www.howcast.com/my_profile to pick a new profile theme or customize your own.
