• Description My online name is Ellen5e because there are five E's that summarize my mission in this life. Exalt God - Offer praise and thanksgiving to my Lord and Savior through song, word and deed. Equip The Saints - continue to learn then teach and practice the Truth as learned from the study of God's Word. Edify the Body - help, serve and build up others to best of my ability. Examine Myself - keep short accounts of wrongs & walk uprightly. Evangelize the World - let the light of God's love shine as I do my part in the Great Commission. My passion is Communications. I believe that it there is nothing more important than relationships. Likewise, there is nothing more important to nurturing those relationships than communications. Whether through words spoken, written or sung; depictions through photos, fine art or video; or through the process of sharing our presence with another to just "be there". . . the power of communication has the unique ability to heal wounds and unite former strangers. I am passionate about that! I am genuine. You hear of people who shoot from the hip? Well I lead with my heart. I truly care about people and find that I am especially drawn to championing the helpless and innocent like children, animals and underdogs of the world. I was the oldest of 5 kids and come to the role naturally. But sometimes, I need a mentor/leader myself... God is good at ministering to me through some of the people I get to know just by being me. I have a great husband Steve that I met when we both attended I.U. Bloomington... we're coming up on 25th anniversary on Aug 25, 2009. We have a fantastic daughter Michelle who is enrolled in U.S. Army Reserves where she plans on working as a medical specialist on her quest for physical therapy degree. I have always been an animal lover. I lived on a farm for a good deal of my formative years where I raised, cared for (and sometimes showed in 4H) cattle, pigs, sheep, chickens, rabbits, racoon and of course any injured or abandoned wildlife. Today, we have a pet dog (I am a dog obedience and agility trainer through 4H) named Spirit, a Patagonian Parrot named Oliver, and fish in the aquarium. Being surrounded by life, makes life more worth living! I LOVE to sing and play music!!! I like to sing anything, find melodies, I play guitar, some keyboard, and especially enjoy playing my 92+ y.o. grandmother's mandolin. It is a great old Gibson A-Style that practically plays gospel all by itself! I am in constant chronic pain from a motorcycle vs. auto accident in 1987, and I am allergic to all pain meds, and have had 29 surgeries. BUT Music allows me to be pain fre
