How To Throw Knives
Warning: There a a few steps that are left out of this video. First there are many ways to hold a throwing knife, I have never thrown one in the described manner. Also left out is the distance vs rotation. if you are holding the knife by the handle you are looking for a full rotation of the knife 360* if you are holding it by the blade you are going to want a 180* rotation. Now when throwing the knives you do NOT want to flick your wrist you want the knife to just slide out of your hand, you need to just let go, NO flick. To find your proper distance you need to watch how the knife hits the target if the knife hits the target point up you need to move back, point down you move closer. Now of course you could stay in the same spot and try to change the speed of your throw to make the point stick, but moving back and forth it easier for the beginner. Last the blades do NOT have to be sharp just the point cuz that's all you want to stick, if you look at professional throwing knifes you will see they have no sharpened blade just a point.
