City Beach type was drawn from scratch in Illustrator. Generally with logo or branding stuff I do, I usually start with an existing typeface, but almost always tweak the letterforms. Some are drawn completely from scratch (the folio is a very small subset of my work) but that can very time-consuming.
The leafy pattern is from a large collection of old printers marks etc. that have been made into vectors. They 'sway in the wind' on actual site.
