You Will Need

  • A highball glass
  • Some ice
  • 1 1/2 oz. tequila
  • 1/2 oz. triple sec
  • 1 1/2 oz. orange juice
  • 1/2 oz. grenadine
  • Maraschino cherry
  • Orange slice
  • Swizzle stick

Steps

  1. Step 1

    Fill with ice

    Fill the highball glass with ice.

  2. Step 2

    Pour in tequila

    Pour in 1½ oz. of tequila.

  3. Step 3

    Add triple sec

    Add ½ oz. triple sec.

  4. Step 4

    Add orange juice

    1 ½ oz. of orange juice, and stir.

  5. Step 5

    Pour grenadine

    In one quick motion, tilt the glass and pour ½oz. of grenadine down the side. It should go straight to the bottom and then rise up slowly through the drink.

  6. Step 6

    Garnish

    Garnish with a cherry, orange slice, and swizzle stick.

  7. For an artistic touch, arrange your cherry and orange slice to look like a rising sun.

  8. Step 7

    Serve

    Serve, and prepare to greet the dawn.
