The basic reason golfers slice the golf ball is that the clubface is open to the path it is traveling on at the moment of impact. This in turn puts slice spin on the ball causing the ball to curve to the right.
Why We Slice The Golf Ball? The clubface is open at the moment of impact.
There is an open, square and closed clubface postion throughout the entire golf swing.
