When it comes to classic brunch drinks, the Mimosa is as “brunchy” as they come—2 parts this morning’s fresh start to 1 part last night’s decadence.
Fill the champagne flute about 2/3 of the way with O.J.
Slowly top up the glass with bubbly.
For extra zing, add a splash of orange liqueur.
Gently stir the cocktail.
Add an orange slice for garnish and serve.
A Mimosa heavier on Champagne than O.J. is known as a Buck’s Fizz — named for London’s Buck’s Hotel, where it was reportedly invented in 1921.
