This video will show you a few techniques for removing stuck pixels from an LCD screen.
***DISCLAIMER***
Please only use these as a last resort, as some of them can cause more damage to the LCD. Only attempt these if you are experienced and know …
A stuck pixel is a part of your screen that is stuck on a specific color. If that color is stuck on black, it’s probably a dead pixel, but if it is any other color, then it may be stuck.
The best software for fixing a stuck pixel is at flexcode.org where you can run the software for 20-30 minutes to see if it removes the stuck pixel. You can also create your own software script that serves the same purpose.
There is a high risk of damaging your LCD with hardware methods, so take extreme caution. Using a pen or pencil with a thick cloth wrapped over it, locate the stuck pixel, turn off the LCD, press down on it with the pen, then turn the LCD back on to see if it fixes it. You can also get a marker or a blunt tipped opject and tap on the stuck pixel to see if it loosens it up.
The best option is to try and return the monitor for a stuck pixel. Check with your monitor manufacturer first before trying any other method.
