If ever a cocktail was destined for the spring break circuit, Sex on the Beach is it. This racy concoction is now more popular than ever served as a "shooter"—a mini-cocktail in a shot glass. Whether you’re looking for a little Sex or a lot, here’s how to indulge.
You Will Need
- 1 oz. vodka
- 1/2 oz. peach schnapps
- 1 1/2 oz. orange juice
- 1 1/2 oz. cranberry juice
- A lime wedge
- Ice
- A highball glass
- A cocktail shaker
- A strainer
Step 1: Fill shaker w/ ice
Fill the mixing glass of your cocktail shaker with ice.
Step 2: Add juices, schnapps, & vodka
Add the cranberry juice, orange juice, peach schnapps, and vodka.
Step 3: Shake
Shake vigorously for about 10 seconds.
Step 4: Fill w/ ice
Fill the highball glass with ice.
Step 5: Strain
Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into the highball glass.
To mix shooters, follow this recipe and pour into three shot glasses. For a single shooter, cut all amounts in half.
Step 6: Garnish
Garnish with a lime wedge and get busy.
Perhaps the best-known episode of “sex on the beach” took place between Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr in 1953’s From Here to Eternity.
