If you look closely at this guys inside corner is displayed incorrectly. His outside corner has the crown detail on the bottom but his inside corner is displayed with crown detail at the top. Or maybe he is upside down which means it would be for the opposite corner in the room.

he is holding it upside down. follow as he cuts each piece then puts them together...they are correct.

Hello! Thank you for posting this video, it is so easy to cut the crown molding guided by your video, the angles always cause some problems, especially the inside and outside corners, so it is always needed to buy some extra molding, so you can fix the mistakes in case you spoiled the cut. Thanks one more time for this video, really helpful. Best regards http://www.mytorontorenovations.ca

This is the best explaination I have seen on cutting crown. I chopped up plenty of moulding before I saw this. But at least I made some high end kindling, it should be enough to get me through the winter.

not true. cuts are always made upside down as you know. if you cut the left side component placed left of the saw , your angle cut will be on the opposite side (left) instead of the right side. the video is correct- the guy just held it upside down.

this guy explained the instructions perfectly...he made it very easy for me to follow. i even wrote down the instructions for both inside/outside angle cuts, left/right pieces and saw position...taped it to my miter saw as a reminder.
