This magical stick helps define your luscious lips, and keeps your luscious lipstick from straying beyond your lip line.
Choose a lip liner that is the same tone, or lighter, than your lipstick. A darker liner will draw too much attention to the contrast.
Sharpen the lip liner pencil before using it to remove any dirt or bacteria that has built up since its last use.
If you want a little extra moisture on your lips, apply a little balm, then blot with a tissue.
Draw a thin line along your upper lip line, angling the pencil for a soft application. Do this with delicate strokes, starting from the outer corners of your lips and moving to the center.
Repeat this on the bottom lip line.
If you want to go for a vintage ’30s look, tuck your upper lip under your teeth so you can see the V-shape in the center. Line this bow and the middle of the bottom to lip for balance. Draw light lines to the outer corners on the top and bottom.
Lightly shade in the rest of your lips with the pencil.
Apply your lipstick, blot with a tissue, and—if you want—dab on a little gloss for a finishing touch.
Lip marks are like fingerprints—no two are alike.
