After filming, I got out the caliper. The thickness on the sides is much closer to 1/2" thick.
The back is about 3/4" thick.
The buckles adjust fine in normal use. The bridge adjuster buckles are hard to adjust when you are wearing the harness. I think this is a good thing. This is not something that would need to be adjusted mid-climb.
I said “Dee ring,” but I meant “bridge shackle.”
When climbing, I wear this harness MUCH lower than shown here. I wanted to quickly talk about the buckles.
I just scooted the harness down two to three inches. It should be grabbing on to your hips, not sitting above them.
