Is your garbage scattered over the lawn in the morning? Follow these simple steps to get rid of raccoons.
Rid your yard of any food or water source, including a running hose, bird feeders, fruits, and berries.
Double-bag your garbage to eliminate food odors.
For added protection, pour ammonia on top of the garbage bags.
Place your trash in metal garbage cans and secure the lid tightly.
Place a heavy rock or weight on top of the lid.
Play a radio and install bright lights in the garbage can area.
Call your local animal control for help if you have a stubborn raccoon that won’t go away.
Did you know? Raccoons walk and run with a hunched appearance because their hind legs are longer than their front legs.

Love the cartoons! Not sure if a real raccoon would be very cooperative for a video!
