Why spend money on a commercial ice pack when you can make one at home in minutes?
Mix three parts water to one part rubbing alcohol, which keeps the water from freezing into a sold block.
Pour into a sturdy, resealable, freezer-safe plastic bag and seal it carefully.
Pop it in your freezer for at least an hour before using.
Avoid freezer burn by wrapping the ice pack in a towel before holding it against your skin.
Pop it back in the freezer for future use.
Many football teams keep ice tubs on hand to treat players who develop heatstroke.
