How To Host a Botox Party

Forget Tupperware, lingerie, and candles. Be the first on your block to host a Botox party!
You Will Need
- A board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon
- Wrinkles between your eyebrows, across your forehead, or around your eyes
- A well-lit room
- A tall chair, like a bar stool
- Plenty of money
The drug Botox works by temporarily paralyzing muscles. As such, it is associated with certain risks and must be administered by a medical doctor.
Step 1: Choose a doctor
Go to the Botox cosmetic website to find a board-certified doctor in your area. The doctors at the top of their list are the most experienced.
Step 2: Negotiate a price
Contact a doctor and negotiate a price. Some doctors charge a fee per site and some charge based on the amount of Botox that’s used. Prices usually range anywhere from $250 to $1,000 per person.
Be wary of any doctor offering a deal that seems too good to be true—it could mean they’re getting their drugs off the black market, making their own, using expired Botox, or are over-diluting it. There’s only one Botox that’s safe for use, so make sure you get the real thing.
Step 3: Decide on a location
Decide on a location. While some people prefer an at-home party atmosphere, the doctor’s office is equipped with the right lighting and chairs, which will help them avoid blood vessels and achieve the best results possible.
Step 4: Send invites
Send invitations to a small group of partygoers, like four or five. Advise them not to take aspirin, ibuprofen, St. John’s wort, or Vitamin E supplements for one week prior to the event to prevent bruising and bleeding. Also, make sure that none of your guests are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Step 5: Consult with the doc
When your guests arrive, have them fill out the necessary paperwork the doctor will require. They will also consult with each patient to make sure they aren’t taking any medicine or have any allergies that would prevent them from receiving Botox.
Step 6: Party without alcohol
Serve some nice hors d’oeuvres to your guests, but don’t include alcohol on the menu. It can affect blood flow, increasing the chance of bruising. But more importantly, Botox injections are a medical procedure, and no one should sign consent forms and make decisions about their health under the influence!
Step 7: Go under the needle
You’re hosting the party, so be ready to hop into the chair—a nice tall one—to go first. Your example will show the other guests how the process works.
Have cold compresses on hand; although discomfort should be minimal, some patients might appreciate using them to numb their skin before and after treatment.
Step 8: Give guests a tip sheet
Give your guests a tip sheet of post-injection instructions that includes the doctor’s contact information in case there’s a complication. Botox recipients should not lie down for four to six hours after injection—the drug could diffuse into the wrong muscle, causing a droop.
The potential side effects of Botox include: temporary bruising, eyelid droop, a headache, or flu-like symptoms.
Step 9: Follow-up
Plan a follow-up soiree in about two weeks. It will take a week or so before the full effects of the injections are apparent, and the doctor should reevaluate to make sure everyone’s results are perfect.
Step 10: Plan another party
Enjoy your smooth new look—and start planning your next party. Those wrinkles will be back in about three months!

Botox is a wonderful way to treat wrinkles. It is a treatment that almost never fails. In my office, with the help of a vial of Botox and a syringe of filler, I can easily make someone look 10 years younger.
