Sometimes something at school or work might upset us to the point of crying while we’re still at these places. Luckily, there’s a way for no one to notice.
As soon as you think you will or are crying, go to the bathroom.Go into the stall with the sink.Lock the door.
Take deep breaths and tell yourself its no big deal. Do not contiue until you have calmed yourself to the point where you are not crying, hiccuping or breathing irregularly.
Slowly use luke warm(if possible) water and lightly splash your face. Be careful not to rub your hands on your face. Atleast once, if not twice, hold a handful of water against your face lightly for a second or two.
Get a paper towel, or however you may require, and pat your face dry.
Do not rub the paper towels against your face as paper towels are rough and will only irritate the already reddened skin. Even if you have a towel, I wouldn’t rub.
Make sure your nose isn’t stuffed or else your voice will get that nasal undertone. Make sure you are not able to sniffle or feel the need to.
Once again wash your face and dry it to make sure your nose is clean and also to relieve some more of the redness and puffiness.
If you wear make up and have it with you, go ahead and apply some to the areas that were red, though your face should be as good as new, this adds confidence and so doesn’t hurt.
Walk out as if you had never been crying.Feel free to shoo away people who ask if they make your eyes water. It’s ok to be a bit rude to nosy people. No matter how many people come by to ask you what happened, your face is clear, don’t doubt it by rubbing or trying to cover your face. This will bring more attention to it and it will be more noticable.
