Fancy feet are a must for sandals and peep-toe shoes. Pamper yourself with a pedicure that’s easy and gets you back on your feet in no time.
Remove existing toenail polish with remover and cotton balls or pads.
Clip and file toenails to desired length and shape.
File toenails straight across to reduce the risk of ingrowns.
Relax while your feet soak in hot, sudsy water for about ten minutes.
Add three tablespoons Epsom salt to soften calluses and help slough off dead skin.
Use cuticle remover and an orange stick to push back the cuticle on each toe. Trim excess cuticle skin.
Apply foot scrub or exfoliator – rinse and use a pumice stone or callous file to remove remaining rough spots.
Dry your feet with a soft towel.
Moisturize your feet with a richer or heavier cream. Wipe off excess lotion from your nails.
Paint your toenails with a strengthening base, two coats of your favorite color, and a shiny top coat. When dry, enjoy stepping out in your strappy sandals.
Did you know? In a “fish pedicure,” popular in Asia but banned in several U.S. states, tiny carp nibble dead skin off feet.
