Steps

  2. Search the International Nanny Association and the Alliance of Professional Nanny Agencies or a nanny training program on the internet.

  3. Step 2

    Interview your nanny

    Interview your nanny without the presence of your children.

  4. Step 3

    Interview with your family

    Invite the candidate to your home for a longer meeting with your children.

  5. Step 4

    Call references

    Call all of the candidate’s references, and ask specific questions.

  6. Contact a private security company or nanny agency that provides nanny screenings if you are hesitant about your candidate.

  7. Step 5

    Offer the job

    Give the nanny a written offer with the job description and compensation clearly outlined.
