Have you ever thrown out a perfectly good hard-boiled egg because you got so frustrated trying to peel it? Here’s how to cook the perfectly-peelable egg.
Put the eggs in the pot and fill it with cold water until there is about two inches of water above the eggs.
With the burner on high, bring the water to a boil and let the eggs boil for seven minutes.
For soft-boiled eggs, boil the eggs for four minutes instead of seven.
About five minutes after the eggs have been cooking at a boil, put a tray of ice cubes into a bowl of cold water.
Once the eggs are finished, remove them with a slotted spoon and put them in the ice water.
Don’t overcook the eggs or else you’ll get a green ring around the yolk, which will become chalky, and the whites will have a rubbery consistency.
Let the eggs sit in the ice water for five minutes and then drain the remaining ice and water.
Refill the bowl with room temperature water.
Crack each egg on a hard surface and submerge it in the fresh water, peeling the shell from the egg underwater.
Another way to remove the shell quickly is to break off the ends of an eggshell and then blow the egg from one end out the other.
Rinse each egg under cool, fresh water and serve.
According to the Bible, the chicken came before the egg.

No need for all of this. I will give the secrets to no hassle easy to peel hard boiled eggs. Use your oldest eggs, fresh eggs will always be harder to peel. Place eggs into COLD water and heat to boiling. After a full boil is achieved, remove pan from heat and let stand until easy to handle, at least 20 minutes. Perfectly done with no green. To peel, crack once and roll GENTLY in palms until shell falls off in one or two large sheets. Rinse. Done. This fool proof method needs no timers, no ice, no hot removal, no picking at shells.
