Sure, athletes are impressive, but everyone knows it is you, the loyal fan, who inspires victory. So show your spirit by painting your body the colors of your favorite team!
Pick your body paint. Water-based paint washes off in the shower, but it’s also vulnerable to sweat, rain, and the occasional beer fight. Alcohol-based paint will survive any victory celebration, but may also stain your skin for a day or two. How committed are you?
Be sure your paint is FDA-approved and labeled “cosmetic grade.”
For best results, body paint should be applied to a clean surface, so start with a long, hot, soapy shower.
Before applying one drop of paint, sketch your work of art. You want to make sure all the letters are the same size. And remember, there is no “I” in “TEAM.”
Before you go nuts with the brush, test the paint on a small area of your body to make sure there is no allergic reaction.
Apply your base first, which ideally will be the lightest of your colors. Using a sponge instead of a brush will save you a lot of time. To prevent paint from cracking, apply multiple thin layers instead of caking it on.
When the base is dry, secure the stencils and use brushes to paint your words and designs.
Now get out there and help the good guys win the big game. They couldn’t do it without you!
