You Will Need
- A hacksaw
- A broom handle
- A wood-carving knife
- Light sand paper
- Yellow and green or red and blue paint
- A small box of split rings
- 3 - 1/2" x 1/8" eye screws
- Two teaspoons (optional)
- A drill and 1/16-inch drill bit (optional)
Steps

Step 1
Saw off broom handle
Saw off a 5-inch piece of broom handle.

Scallop one end of the handle
Scallop one end of the broom handle and carve the other end with the knife to form a rounded head.

Smooth with light sand paper
Smooth the rough areas with light sandpaper.

Decide on a color scheme
Decide on a color scheme that will attract fish, such as yellow and green or red and blue.

Allow paint to dry
Allow the paint to dry thoroughly.

Screw eye screw into center
Screw an eye screw securely into the center of the scalloped end of the lure.

Screw other eye screw into tip
Screw the other eye screw into the tip of the opposite end, adding one split ring to place the treble hook on.
