housEvolve gives homeowners full remote control over their property’s environmental controls. In this video, see how housEvolve lets you detect the presence of water in a monitored area, as well as turn the water On or Off from anywhere in the world.
1. Turn off the water in your house.
Since mounting the housEvolve shut-off valve requires cutting into the water pipe, we strongly recommend professional installation for this procedure.
Insert the housEvolve shut-off valve in the water intake system, downstream from the water main shut-off, making sure that the water flows through the valve in the direction indicated on the valve body.
Although the housEvolve water shut-off valve will operate in any position, we recommend mounting it with the solenoid pointing up. This will minimize the long-term impact of mineral deposits on valve operation.
Connect the “In” port of the housEvolve Main Controller to one of your home’s wall phone jacks using the cable provided.
Connect power to the housEvolve Main Controller using the included DC adapter
Connect the housEvolve Water Presence Detector to the Main Controller Module using the network cable provided.
Place the included water presence sensors at desired checkpoints in the monitored area. Connect the sensors to the Water Presence Detector (use any of the available 6 ports).
Connect the water shut-off valve to the Water Presence Detector Module. (either port)
Hardware setup is complete. Use the housEvovle Main Controller User Interface to add a system password and one or more alert reporting phone numbers.
That’s it!. The housEvolve system will now call you to report the presence of water, or you can call your house at any time to turn the water On or Off.
