Use a few household ingredients to keep a clear, sharp image on your LCD screen without clouding or scratching it.
Turn off your LCD monitor.
Mix a solution of 50 percent distilled water with 50 percent isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle.
You can substitute white vinegar for the isopropyl alcohol.
Do not use tap water, which may contain chemicals that can cloud your screen.
Spray the cotton cloth with the solution. Do not spray the solution directly onto your computer screen.
Avoid paper towels, tissues, or old rags, which can scratch and damage the LCD screen and leave particles behind.
Gently wipe the screen in a circular motion.
Let the screen dry before turning the monitor back on.
Did you know? LCD screens use as little as 40 percent of the electricity consumed by traditional cathode ray tube monitors.
