When hiring a professional plumber is not an option, knowing how to repair your commode can come in handy in letting toilet troubles go down the drain.
You will need a plunger, bleach, caulk, plyers,flat screwdriver,gloves, and paper towels.
Clear and clean area as much as possible. This will make it easier to maneuver in tight corners.
Use plyers to relase bolts from the bottom of the commode. Also use screwdriver to remove caulk sealant. This will seperate the unit from the floor.
To lighten the load in lifting the commode you can take the back water tank off. Bolts are located on both sides under the tank and rubber protectors are set between tank and base.
To drain water, turn water pipe off and flush. Also let water in bowl drain or use plunger to move it thropugh passage.
Once you’ve cleaned area, Take commode to an area were the rest of water can drain. When upside down you will be able to locate the object that had caused block.
Once object is removed, clean commode and replace back in the wash room.
