About improper unination, if you have a tom who has been fixed and he starts peeing in the wrong place it can mean bladder blockage issues, frequent trips to the litter box and a I'm in pain type of vocaliztion accompanies his trips, plus the peeing out of the box .. (hes trying to find a spot to pee that don't hurt ) .... go to a vet asap .... diet changes will fix his problem . Just a FYI not to get mad right off the bat about a pee puddle.

that's not completely accurate. A cat will also flick it's tail if he/she is very excited by something it wants! ... as when it sees a bird out the window or a mouse.
