This is not a good idea and here's why. Wilted lettuce is an indication of ";food that has already broken down."; The body needs to digest food naturally - food that breaks down through digestion. Wilted lettuce is an indication of food that has already broken down and ";recovering it"; is not something nutritionally wise. That's why if you buy any vegetables that can sit in your fridge for weeks on end withoug showing any ";wear or tear"; are not good for you. They have chemicals on them that are keeping them ";fresh"; in appearance but in reality that's not nature's way nor is it something I'd want to eat.
