This is not a good idea and here's why. Wilted lettuce is an indication of "food that has already broken down." The body needs to digest food naturally - food that breaks down through digestion. Wilted lettuce is an indication of food that has already broken down and "recovering it" is not something nutritionally wise. That's why if you buy any vegetables that can sit in your fridge for weeks on end withoug showing any "wear or tear" are not good for you. They have chemicals on them that are keeping them "fresh" in appearance but in reality that's not nature's way nor is it something I'd want to eat.
