The new iPad from Apple is a great device for composing emails on the go, writing a short paper, or taking notes, but it may take some practice to get used to using the on screen keyboard.
When ever you click on a text entry box, the onscreen keyboard will appear. It conveniently hides when not in use.
With the iPad flat on a table, or desk type on the keyboard as you would a traditional keyboard, being carefult to keep your wrists high, to avoid unnecessary contact with the screen. Touching the keys with your palms will create extra key strokes.
A wrist support can help you to avoid hitting extra keys while typing.
Press the Keyboard close “key” or use the on device button to close the keyboard when you are done typing.
To Avoid having to clean your screen after every use of the keyboard, you can wear latex gloves. Avoiding eating while typing will also keep your screen cleaner.
