Blot the nail polish with a paper towel.
Put nail polish remover on a cotton ball or paper towel and blot the stain again.
If the nail polish remover contains acetone, test a small area of your carpet first.
Wash the area with soap and water once the stain is gone.
Get dried stains out of the carpet by first spraying the area with water.
Never use bleach on carpets.
Use a plastic knife to scrap the polish out of the carpet.
Put hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball and dab it on the stain.
Let it sit for 30 minutes. Keep applying until the stain is gone.
