Choose dry cereal or toast that will melt in your baby's mouth.
Slice cooked vegetables
Slice cooked vegetables, such as carrots, beans, and sweet potatoes.
Introduce them to shredded meats
Introduce them to well-cooked and shredded beef and chicken.
Cut soft fruits
Cut soft fruits, like bananas, melons, and pears, into bite-sized pieces.
Give them pasta
Give your baby cooked, cooled macaroni or other bite-sized pasta.
Stay away from choking hazards
Stay away from foods that are choking hazards, such as nuts, popcorn, and hard candy.
Serve pretzels and rice cakes
Serve pretzels and rice cakes for a treat. Introduce a new food every day for four days to make sure they are not allergic to these foods.
