You Will Need

  • 1/2 lb. sausage
  • 1/4 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1/2 c. mashed potatoes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Equipment:
  • Large skillet
  • Rolling pin
  • Basting brush
  • 3-in. round cookie cutter (optional)

Steps

  1. Step 1

    Cook

    Cook the sausage, onion, celery, and carrot in a large skillet until the sausage is browned and the onion and celery are soft and translucent.

  2. Step 2

    Add potatoes, salt, and pepper

    Add the mashed potatoes, salt, and pepper to the skillet.

  3. Step 3

    Roll out dough

    Roll out the dough with the rolling pin and cut it into 3-inch rounds.

  4. Step 4

    Fill the dough

    Put a spoonful of meat filling on each dough circle.

  5. Step 5

    Fold and seal

    Fold them in half and pinch the sides to seal. Then brush on the beaten egg.

  6. Step 6

    Cut slits and bake

    Cut slits on the top and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes. Cool and serve!
