Steps

  1. Always consult a physician before attempting to do any exercise or exercise plan.

  2. Step 1

    Park far away

    Park in the back of the parking lot. Every step counts!

  3. Step 2

    Take the stairs

    Skip the elevator and take the stairs. This will get your blood flowing early in the day.

  4. Step 3

    Jump rope

    Find an empty office and simulate jumping rope for one minute.

  5. You burn approximately 11 calories a minute jumping rope.

  6. Step 4

    Stretch your neck

    Stretch your neck by tilting your head toward one shoulder and holding it for 10 seconds. Then switch sides.

  7. Step 5

    Perform a squat

    Perform a squat by standing in front of your chair, bending your knees, and lowering your body briefly to touch the chair. Then stand back up.

  8. Try 15 repetitions, three times a day.

  9. Step 6

    Stretch your shoulders

    Stretch your shoulders by rolling them forward and then backward 10 times.

  10. Step 7

    Encourage others

    Encourage coworkers to get healthy by organizing a lunchtime walking group. Lace up your shoes and inspire others.
