No matter what you spilled on your clothes or furnishings, we can tell you how to get it out.
You Will Need
- Vent brush
- Industrial vacuum
- Dust mask (optional)
Unplug the dryer; detach hose
Unplug the dryer and use a screwdriver to detach the hose from the exhaust duct.
Inspect and remove lint
Inspect the hose and the aluminum elbow that attaches to the wall. Remove lint by feeding a vent brush through the dryer from inside the machine through the hose.
Vacuum behind dryer and around vent pipe
Use an industrial vacuum to thoroughly clean the area behind your dryer, the back side of your dryer, and the area around the vent pipe.
Clean soap scum from the floor
Use a sponge and soap to clean up any scum that has built up on the floor behind your dryer.
Reattach hose; plug dryer in
Reattach the vent hose and secure it in place, and then plug in your dryer. Clean the exhaust duct at least once a year to keep it in peak operating condition.
