Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl until the mixture is smooth. Then whisk the mixture into the thin gravy until it thickens. Using the whisk also helps you to get rid of lumps.
Add butter and flour
Add equal parts softened butter and flour to the gravy, whisking constantly until the gravy thickens. When your gravy is thick enough, enjoy it over turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes.
