You Will Need

  • Mild shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Gentle face cleanser
  • Facial moisturizer
  • Lip balm
  • Petroleum jelly or foot balm
  • Socks
  • Body moisturizer
  • Sunscreen
  • Water
  • Humidifier
  • Warm clothes
  • Olive oil (optional)
  • Exfoliating sponge (optional)

Steps

  1. Step 1

    Take care of hair

Wash your hair with a mild shampoo and use conditioner to moisturize. Limit your time with the hair dryer, instead opting to allow it to air dry.

  2. Rub a few drops of olive oil on your hands and run through your hair -- this will pack your hair full of moisture.

  3. Step 2

    Treat your face

Treat your face to a luxurious washing with a gentle cleanser, and always follow with a moisturizer. Don't forget to keep your lips protected your lips with beeswax or petroleum jelly.

  4. Step 3

    Care for hands and feet

Care for your hands by consistently using moisturizer after each washing. Rub petroleum jelly or a foot balm on your dry feet, cover with socks, let it sit overnight, and you'll wake with super soft heels.

  5. Step 4

    Keep showers short

Keep those morning hot showers short. Hot water strips the skin of its natural oils. Use lukewarm water if possible.

  6. Don't forget to exfoliate. Exfoliating removes dead, dry skin from your body and reveals a glowing new layer of skin.

  7. Step 5

    Moisturize everywhere

Use a moisturizer on your body after every shower if you have especially dry skin. Make sure you don't forget to apply your sunscreen.

  8. Step 6

    Keep hydrated

Keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water and using a humidifier in your home and/or work environment.

  9. Step 7

    Keep warm

Dress warm to keep harsh weather and wind from drying out your skin. Protect your hair and skin throughout the winter so you can enjoy it safely while looking forward to summer.

  10. The world's coldest place is Ridge A, an area on the Antarctic plateau. It stands over 8 miles high and averages minus 94 degrees Fahrenheit.
