Step 1
Download the application
Download the E-ZPass individual or business application form or pick it up from your local E-ZPass office.

Choose a plan
Decide which plan best fits your needs. Check with your local E-ZPass office or check online for plan descriptions.

Choose a payment method
Choose how you're going to pay for the toll tag. You can set up a credit card account that will charge your card, or you can send in a check or money order each time your pass gets low on funds.

Choose a pre-payment amount
Choose an amount to pre-pay to your account and indicate the information on your application.

Complete the application
Enter your personal information and your car's information, and send or deliver your application.

Set up a pin number
Call or log in to access your account and set up a pin number for use in the future. Write it down somewhere it can be easily found.

Affix the E-Z Pass to your car
Affix the E-ZPass to your car's windshield just below the rear view mirror. If you had to get an exterior pass because of your car's make, mount it to the top of your front license plate.

Drive through tolls
Drive through the toll lanes on E-ZPass toll roads across the Eastern states with ease and never have to worry about scrounging for quarters on the floorboard again.
