Steps

  1. Never change your diet without first consulting your physician.

    Limit your consumption of saturated fats and trans fats. Sources of saturated fats include cheese, beef, butter, and coconut oils.

    Read Nutrition Facts labels when purchasing food to monitor your calorie, sodium, fat, and cholesterol intake.

    Monitor your weight

    Monitor your weight closely. Weigh yourself at the same time each day using the same scale.

  9. Use a journal to record your success.

    Believe in yourself

    Believe that you can succeed. Stay positive and learn to control negative thoughts. Making healthy lifestyle changes will not only help you maintain your weight, but give you confidence.
