You Will Need

  • Easy-access clothing
  • Sunscreen
  • Insect repellent
  • Silicone-based lubricant
  • Consideration

  1. Step 1

    Dress for sex-cess

Wear clothes that you can easily take off -- and put back on -- if you plan to have sex outdoors. Or wear easy-access clothing that lets you get busy without completely removing much at all.

  2. Step 2

    Wear protection

Use protection -- and that includes a good sunscreen and an insect repellent. If you're planning to do it in the water, use a silicone-based lubricant, as your natural secretions may be washed away.

  3. Step 3

    Position yourself

Choose your sexual position strategically: if you need to be discreet, consider sexual positions that look innocent from a distance. If the ground isn't conducive to the horizontal mambo, do it standing up.

  4. Step 4

    Clean up after yourself

Clean up after yourself when you have sex outdoors, as a matter of both civility and public hygiene. This is especially important in the woods, where used condoms can attract critters to your campsite.

  5. Never bury or burn used condoms; store them in a sealed plastic bag and take them when you leave, along with the rest of your trash.

  6. Step 5

    Don't put on a show

Be discreet when you have sex outdoors: keep in mind that security cameras are everywhere these days, and voices carry. Besides, no one likes a showoff

  7. 57 percent of Americans polled said they've had sex outdoors.
