How to Blow Dry Hair to Create Volume

You Will Need
- A head of wet hair
- A heat-protective serum
- A volumizing product
- A blow-dryer with a diffuser and nozzle
- A few hair clips
- A large rounded hairbrush
- And some hair spray
- A volumizing shampoo (optional)
- And a volumizing conditioner (optional)
Steps

Step 1
Blot hair dry
Gently blot your hair dry with a towel.

Apply serum
Apply a heat-protective serum to your hair according to the product directions.

Work in product
With your fingers, work in a volumizing product according to its directions.

Attach diffuser
Attach the diffuser to your blow-dryer, and bend over to dry the roots of your hair upside-down for a moment, on a medium heat and speed.

Part hair
Stand upright and part a line around the back of your head from ear to ear, and clip the top section of hair up.

Attach nozzle
Replace the diffuser with a nozzle.

Position brush
Pull a lock of hair from the lower section and place a large rounded brush under it near your scalp.

Blow-dry hair
Blow-dry the hair from just above the brush as you rotate it, pulling your hair out and away from your scalp.

Continue drying
Continue drying one lock of hair at a time until the lower section of hair is completely dry, then repeat with the top section.

Spritz your hair with hair spray, concentrating at the roots. Now you
