How to Clean Mold from Bathroom Cabinets

You will need

  • Protective gloves

  • cotton face mask
  • Sponge and a bucket
  • Trisodium phosphate
  • Chlorine bleach
  • Stain-killing primer
  • Paintbrush
  • Mildew-resistant latex paint
  • Ventilation fan

Step 1 Seal it off Seal off the area from the rest of your home. Cover heat registers and ventilation ducts or grills.

Step 2 Scrub it down Put on the protective gloves, face mask, and goggles. Use a sponge and bucket filled with a strong solution of trisodium phosphate and water. Scrub down the cabinets and anywhere else mold is present.

Step 3 Apply chlorine bleach Apply the chlorine bleach and leave it on for one to two hours. Rinse the surfaces thoroughly with water.

Step 4 Brush on primer Brush on a stain-killing primer and let it dry as directed. Then paint the cabinets with a mildew-resistant latex paint.
