You Will Need
- A mirror
- An eye cream or moisturizer
- A creamy, non-drying concealer
- A concealer brush
- A translucent powder
- And a large powder brush
- Some foundation (optional) (optional) (optional) (optional)
- And a clean, damp makeup sponge (optional) (optional) (optional) (optional)
Steps
-
Step 1
Position mirror
Position your mirror for the best possible light—natural light is preferred—and lean forward for the best view of your circles.
-
Step 2
Prep eyes
Prep the skin under your eyes by applying the eye cream or moisturizer. This does not mean a shimmery cream or reflective moisturizer—that would draw attention to what you're trying to hide.
-
Step 3
Apply foundation
If you use foundation, apply it now.
-
Step 4
Apply concealer
With a brush or your finger, apply concealer one to two shades lighter than your skin tone to the darkest area. Don't go too light—that could create a reverse-raccoon look!
-
Step 5
Blend
Blend by gently tapping, not sweeping, the concealer. Stop short of your lower lash line, and blend past the dark area.
-
Step 6
Apply powder
Apply a light dusting of translucent powder over the concealer to lock in your look.
