Fancy-up your next picnic, beach party, or summertime event with this delicious drunken watermelon cocktail.
Don’t drink unless you’re of legal age. Drink responsibly, and never drink and drive.
Cut off the stem end of the watermelon so that it sits flat. Then cut about 3 inches off of the other end of the watermelon.
Scoop out half of the watermelon with a melon baller and freeze the balls to use as ice cubes later.
Scoop out the rest of the watermelon, leaving the rind intact, and put the fruit in a blender. Puree the watermelon and then push it through a strainer to remove any pulp.
You can work in batches if the watermelon doesn’t fit in your blender.
Pour the watermelon puree into the rind and add the tequila, triple sec, and frozen melon balls. Then top it with the soda and serve with a ladle. Drink up!
