How to Make Baked Apples

You Will Need
- 4 apples
- Vanilla bean
- 2 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1/4 c. honey
- 2 tbsp. golden raisins
- Vanilla ice cream
- Equipment:
- 4 large muffin pan cups
- Parchment paper
- Apple corer (optional)
- Cinnamon (optional)
- Sugar (optional)

Step 1
Core the apples
Cut around the apple stems and use a paring knife to cut out the cores. Cut down to within 1/2 inch of the bottoms and scoop out the seeds with a spoon.

Add butter, honey, vanilla to cups
Split the vanilla bean and scrape out the seeds. Then divide the butter, honey, and vanilla bean seeds evenly between four large muffin pan cups.

Put raisins in apples
Place an apple in each muffin pan cup and stuff each apple with 1 1/2 teaspoons raisins.

Bake apples
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Cover the apples with parchment paper and then with aluminum foil. Transfer the apples to the oven and bake them until they're tender -- about 30 minutes. Serve the apples hot or cold with vanilla ice cream.
