Hello my name is Joe 'doc Huston and I am here at my friend's gym in Portland, Oregon to share some tricks, tactics and strategies to help you get the most out of your boxing career The purpose of shadow boxing is not to increase physical power, but to rather increase mental energy and develop boxing skills. As well, you want to maximize your natural balance because inconsistencies in technique are often accompanied by a disturbance in balance. And keep in mind that the most important part of any move is the set up and the first 3 quarters of an inch of action because the rest is follow through and adjustments. And the last little secret to get the most out of your workout, you should visualize your upcoming opponent as a 3 dimensional person standing in front of you, moving about, coming into attack, or stepping back acting and moving about.|
