Hi I'm Miss Pop, a New York City based nail artist, and we are here at my favorite bar/nail salon. Beauty Bar, right here on 14th St in New York City. Today I'm going to show you my favorite nail designs and let you in on some secrets. So lets get started. Now we're going to do a twist on the French manicure- the chevron French. All you want to do is apply some black on a thin brush like this, and then just stripe it. This one's great because even if you're on the go you don't even need to use this delicate a brush. You can totally use a nail art brush that comes inside one of the nail art tubes, or I've even been known to use the actual brush that comes inside your regular nail polish. Depending on how long your nails are, you can get away with murder with this one. You basically just want to polish two black triangles that meet at a point in the middle. I'm going to use my orange stick, I dunked it in some acetone, and I'm just going to go under the nail and make sure I didn't get any black around the sides, and just clean it up a little. Just apply some top coat and viola, the chevron French.

Hi! I’m Simcha Whitehill aka “Miss Pop," a Manhattan-based writer and nail artist. Just like a stereotypical New Yorker, I talk with my hands -- so you know my nails have to be as fly as my lexicon! I do up digits using nail polish to hand paint on my designs. I use a natural nail canvas because I'm all about taking what my mama gave me to the max!
