Celebrity hairstylist Jacqueline Bush shows you how to create cute hairstyles in these hair tutorials from Howcast.
My name is Jacqueline Bush and I'm an editorial in celebrity hairstyles. My clientele has included Faith Hill, Mark Ruffalo, Terrance Howard, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jane Krakowski. I want to be able to show you that hair isn't as intimidating or as hard as you think it is and I want you be able to have fun with it and do what your vision is with your hair So now I'm going to show you on how to get bedhead. Now as you notice, our model already has some curl in her hair and say your curl is, you just woke up from bed your curls a little matted against your head, a little flat. This is a really quick trick you can do. You're going to flip your head over, you're going to just run your fingers through it. Mess it up, shag it out a little bit that's what I'm doing. Just roughly running my hands through the hair. You're going to spray a little bit of hairspray. Then, you're going to blow dry the hairspray in to dry the hairspray. You're going to flip back, run your finger through it, shake it up a little more. The key to bed head is breaking up that curl and then what you're going to do is take a little bit of a styling pomade. I'm mixing a shiny wax with a matted wax and the reason is my matifying wax adds more texture than the shine one does, but I still want it to look shiny and healthy and I'm just going to squeeze my hands together give it a little frizz because you know bedhead isn't neon perfect. Shake it up so there's no even part. So, you're just going to break up that curl a little more. And like I said, the key to bedhead is a little bit of frizz. So, you're just going to take your fingers, you see how I'm rubbing them back and forth, you see how that gives frizz. You're just going to do that a little bit around your ends, around the roots. You see how I'm just basically rubbing my fingers through the air. Make it, the messier the better, because the thing is you can always comb it a little. and i like to go for either like an off- center part. And there you go, that's how you get bed head.
