Hi, my name is Dr. Shane Methal, here at Greene Street Dental in SoHo, New York. I've been in private practice both in Maryland and consequently back in New York for the last 17 years. My office website is www.greenestreetdental.com, that's green with an "e" at the end, and today I'm going to be talking about teeth and dentistry. White Teeth: Laser Whitening vs Teeth Bleaching: Well, actually laser bleaching is a variance of teeth bleaching where the dentist will have the patient in the chair and usually use a light activated gel to accelerate the reaction. It is a fast procedure, it is slightly more expensive than conventional bleaching, but it is good for those seeking quick results. It is a fast procedure. It is an in-office procedure and usually entails a slightly higher fee; however, it is a great solution for those looking for a quick fix and rapid turnaround on their bleaching. So, remember existing crown or bridgework or dental fillings will not bleach so make sure you talk to your dentist if you have those issues and they need to be addressed before you begin bleaching.
