Hello, My name is Candace Draper and I'm a fit expert here at Canyon Beachwear. Everyone that works here at Canyon Beachwear is a fit expert. We know everything there is to know about bikinis. It's kinda eat, breath, sleep bikinis. So we're like the girlfriend you forgot to bring into the store. You can also find us online or at www.canyonbeachwear.com. you can find us on Facebook and twitter as well under canyonbeachwear and today we're gonna be talking about swimwear. How you wear a swimsuit for a petite body type would be exactly what Ashley has on here. You want minimal. Anything too banded or too thick of straps is going to hide your body, which is worse because your body is already more petite. So, notice here on the straps, she has the elongating neckline. Anything with straps like this is gonna be better. It brings down her neck. If you were to do a bandeau, it would cut her off. So if you're petite, stick with the strings or even a halter if you need more support. Also, the string bikini across the bottom is going to elongate her torso. If you were to have a halter with a thick band here, it would completely cut her off. The whole objective of her suit is to make her as long as possible. You'll notice on Ashley's bottom, she's got the thinner straps along the side. She also has the high cut here, which is great because it's gonna elongate the legs, make her look more feminine. But, if you're into the moderate coverage, this suit has it. Not every petite suit has to be one of those minimal bottoms if you like more moderate coverage. It's still gonna give you the full coverage that you're looking for, but it's also gonna give you the high cut on the side, which is great. No ties, because I think that's just too distracting when you're that small of a body type. We've also added gold detailing on the sides and on around the hoops on the halter; brings a little more to the suit. The design is also very playful. Stay away from stripes or even dark colors if you're petite. Go for the more spring, summery colors. It's gonna brighten up your body and it's not going to draw so much attention to the fact that you're a smaller shape. no problems.
