So if you are one of those people who get plagued by razor bumps, there are a few things that you can do to try to eliminate them. The first thing you wanna do is you wanna choose your razor wisely. You wanna go for one of the good razors. Sometimes they are a little bit more expensive but they’re definitely worth every penny. You also wanna make sure you are changing your razor blade frequently because a dull razor is just gonna provide more bumps. And then when you’re deciding what to use with your razor, it’s important to not use soap and water. Especially a lot of women will do that in the shower. You really wanna go the extra effort and use a shaving cream. If there’s still an issue, you can try using an antibacterial soap. Sometimes that can cut on inflammation that causes bumps. Especially for women if you’re getting a lot of razor bumps the bikini area, laser hair removal is a fantastic way to get rid of razor bumps. Because lots of times razor bumps are caused by ingrown hairs. When the hairs can’t poke through the skin and they sort of turn in on each other and they form little tiny bumps. What the laser hair removal does is the laser hair removal gets rid of the hair in the follicle. If you’re having a lot of bumps after shaving, sometimes you can use a 1% hydrocortisone. Now that’s not something you can use everyday but 1% hydrocortisone for special occasions will reduce the inflammation and make it look less red.
