Um, you want to get a few different ones so you can get a good comparisons of different processes. One you want to get to make sure you know the background of all the different ingredients. It’s important to know what butter does in a recipe, what eggs do in a recipe, what flour and baking powder, what everything is responsible for uh in the chemistry of the cake batter. Uh, once you know that you can get a book that focuses more of flavor combinations and how to make a really good gourmet cupcake. Um, you can even get another one that really focuses on decorating. Having a few books and process ideas really lets you compare everything and really find your own style. You can also experiment a lot, that will help. Um, finding what went wrong, how to fix it, what you know what new ways can you bake a cupcake. You can do some trial and error baking um but it would also be good to have a taste tester. Um nominate one or two friends to test how the cakes turn out for you. You’re probably always going to think that every cake you make tastes the best, so it would be really good to have a second opinion.
