My name is Barbara Esses and I do events for a living. I'm Ruthie Hecht; I'm an event planner and I work with and for my mother. We're going to teach you the do's and don'ts for the perfect wedding. Many people today, brides and grooms still opt for what we call a classic wedding. And actually, if one remembers, Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big were going to have a classic wedding because Carrie bought a classic dress. A classic wedding begins with the bride wearing a classic dress, not something avant guarde. You send an invitation in the mail, not a paperless post. You hire a band, not a DJ. You serve a seated meal, not a buffet. All these elements can be done with a twist of modernism to them. They do not have to be old and fuddy duddy but, a classic wedding is still a beautiful thing to make.
